Seminar Room Rental

Use of the IIS Seminar Room (223 Moses Hall)

The IIS Seminar Room may be requested by University of California groups as well as outside groups for lectures and workshops. IIS is not a complete conference facility and is unable to accommodate large-scale full-day or multi-day events.


The room has a set tables with 15 chairs around the table and additional chairs lining the edge of the room. Additional chairs can be arranged in a row between the table and edge of room. Maximum capacity is 49. There are three small tables near the door that can be used to serve coffee and snacks. – Please see photos below.


Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 5:30pm. After-hours events are not allowed.


Up to 4 Hours: $400

5-8 Hours: $600

Fees may be paid via chartstring or check.


Audiovisual equipment includes projector and screen, DVD/Bluray player, and sound system as well as a laptop. A lectern is also available in the room.


Technical Assistance: An IIS-affiliated student will handle operation of the projector. Technical support such as video, audiotaping, or live streaming must be coordinated with a campus-approved vendor.

Damages: You are responsible for any damage to equipment, building, and furnishings incurred during the event.
