Perry Anderson, born in 1938, is a British Marxist historian and writer. He is Professor of History and Sociology at UCLA and an editor of the New Left Review. He is the author of several books such as Spectrum, Lineages of the Absolutist State, Passages from Antiquity to Feudalism, Considerations on Western Marxism.
