Ava Escobedo is a sophomore majoring in History with a minor in Global Studies. Her field of concentration in History is Latin American imperialism and colonialism, and she has a passion for public history and understanding history from new and untold perspectives. At UC Berkeley, she is involved in the ASUC, has worked as a research assistant for Professor Brian DeLay, is currently a research assistant at the Bancroft Library's Oral History Center, and works at the Berkeley Art Museum. She hopes to attend graduate school for History in the future to continue studying the political relevance of her field of study.
