The BIG GIVE campaign is here! Today the Institute of International Studies (IIS) invites you to join the entire UC Berkeley community in supporting the many moments that make our institute a vibrant hub of learning.
IIS stands at the heart of international studies at UC Berkeley as a multidisciplinary organized research unit (ORU) that represents an interdisciplinary arena of scholarship characterized by the analysis of connective and systemic dynamics in global affairs. The Institute’s mission is to support research and dialogue among faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates on issues of global concern. The international community's current challenges, which range from failures of international governance to acute geopolitical conflicts, reaffirm the importance behind educating our future leaders about our highly interconnected world, which your gift will help us do!
At IIS, engaging students in the intellectual life of the Institute is a priority. We offer the Undergraduate Fellows Program, an annual fellowship that presents a unique opportunity for a cohort of 30+ undergraduate students to work side-by-side with faculty and graduate-level research associates on original research projects.Graduate Fellowships in International Studies provides researchgrants of up to $15,000 for graduate students at the pre-dissertation stage and for ABD’s.
This year, you can directly support our students’ development and growth, including by contributing to creation of a new Senior Fellows Program that will create opportunities for student engagement with experienced practitioners. Support our students in becoming future leaders in international work and service with a gift to IIS!
Berkeley’s 2022 Big Give campaign concludes on March 10, 2022!
With gratitude for your support,
The faculty, staff and students of IIS
