Anatol Lieven is Professor in the Department of War Studies at King's College, London. A journalist, historian, and author, Lieven writes on a range of security and international affairs issues. He has worked for the Times of Londonand the Financial Times and reported on and from the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. His publications include Chechnya: Tombstone of Russian Power; The Baltic Revolution: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Path to Independence; America, Right or Wrong: An Anatomy of American Nationalism and Ethical Realism (with John Hulsman).
