Project Air Mask: A Project on Reducing Air Pollution Exposure for India’s Most Vulnerable
Department:
International and Area Studies
Term:
Fall 2018

Rudy Venguswamy will be traveling to the Clinton Global Initiative University to work on his initiative to bring pollution stopping respirators to at-risk groups in India. Every year, over 9 million people die in the country alone from air pollution. By building an affordable mask for under 100 rupees (@1.5 USD) for people to wear during commutes and while cooking, Project Air Mask hopes to increase awareness about air pollution and help keep those most affected by its adverse effects safe.
