Tony Cascardi is a Professor of Comparative Literature, Rhetoric, and Spanish and Portuguese; he received a Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1980 and is General Editor of the Penn State Studies in Literature and Philosophy. His research interests include: the relations between literature and philosophy; aesthetic theory; and early modern Europe. His publications includeConsequences of Enlightenment and The Cambridge Companion to Cervantes.
